Fish for Conservation at the Tightlined Slam

Started: Sep 03, 2019

Rally your best anglers for the second annual Tightlined Slam!

The catch-and-release fly and light tackle fishing tournament—October 4-6, 2019, in Norwalk, CT—contributes proceeds directly to conservation, while also awarding cash prizes to top anglers. We are looking to expand on last year's success and get more people involved to raise funds for the American Saltwater Guides Association, as well as raise awareness about fisheries management both in our local waters and up and down the east coast.

Landlubbers can also join the fun at the after party, which will take place at Wilson Cove Marina on Sunday, October 6, 2019, and include food, drink, the presentation of awards to tournament winners, plus a cornhole tournament, raffle, and silent auction of items provided by sponsors.

Tightlined Conservation Coalition is a pending nonprofit based in Fairfield County, CT, whose mission is to support, accelerate, and promote efforts to conserve fisheries and marine resources. Last year, the inaugural Tightlined Slam comprised 20 boats and approximately 60 experienced anglers fishing for striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, and bonito over the course of two days. The event raised nearly $17,000 towards the conservation of our fisheries. Help preserve this precious resource for future generations!
